Pin a message to keep it easy to find. Pinned messages are listed in the channel, so everyone in the channel can find them.

## Pin a message

1. Point to the message and click **More actions** (**⋯**).
2. Click **Pin**.

The message shows **Pinned** above it. Everyone in the channel sees the pin.

Any member of the channel can pin and unpin messages. You can't pin messages in a thread or in an archived channel.

## See pinned messages

When a channel has pinned messages, a pin with a count shows in the channel header. Click it to open the **Pins** tab next to the channel.

You can also click the channel name at the top of the channel, click **Files**, then click the **Pins** tab.

Click a pinned message to go to it in the conversation.

## Unpin a message

Do one of these:

- Point to the message in the conversation, click **More actions** (**⋯**), then click **Unpin**.
- In the **Pins** tab, point to the pinned message and click **Unpin** (the crossed-out pin).

## On the mobile app

Touch and hold a message, then tap **Pin** or **Unpin**. Tap the pin in the channel header to see the pinned messages.
