Keyboard shortcuts let you move around Raven and write messages without the mouse. To see them in Raven, go to **Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts**.

## Navigation

## Channels and lists

These work in the channel list, direct messages, threads and notifications.

## Writing a message

If you set **Enter key behaviour** to **Start a new line** in [Preferences](wiki:01eb30a553b5), Enter starts a new line. Then press **Ctrl + Enter** to send, or **⌘ + Enter** on a Mac.

## Formatting

Select text in the message box, then press the shortcut.

To hide text until someone clicks it, put it between double bars: `||like this||`.

## Viewing images

These work in the image viewer, and when you point to a group of images in a message.

## Browser

Your browser provides these. Raven keeps every channel and page in the browser history, so they work as usual.
