Frappe encourages developers, businesses, educators, and community members to build, share, and grow the ecosystem. At the same time, we ask that our brands are used in a way that does not confuse users about what is official, endorsed, or provided by Frappe.
2. Software Licenses
Unless otherwise stated in the relevant repository:

3. Copyright
Copyright in Frappe software is owned by Frappe Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and individual contributors.
Unless explicitly licensed otherwise, the following assets remain the intellectual property of Frappe:
- Product logos
- Product icons
- Website content
- Marketing materials
- Illustrations and graphics
- Videos
- Product branding
These assets may not be copied, modified, redistributed, or used commercially except as permitted by this policy or with prior written permission from Frappe.
4. Trademarks
Frappe Technologies Pvt. Ltd. owns the trademarks and branding associated with its products.
These include, among others:
- Frappe
- ERPNext
- Frappe Cloud
- Frappe HR
- Frappe CRM
- Frappe Helpdesk
- Frappe Builder
- Frappe Learning
- Frappe Insights
Other product names, logos, and branding introduced by Frappe are also protected where applicable.
5. Permitted Use
You may use Frappe trademarks to truthfully refer to Frappe products or describe your products and services.
Examples include:
- ERPNext implementation services
- ERPNext consulting
- Frappe Framework training
- Built for ERPNext
- Compatible with ERPNext
- Integration with Frappe HR
You may also:
- Develop open source or commercial applications that integrate with Frappe products.
- Write books, blogs, tutorials, and documentation.
- Publish videos, courses, reviews, and case studies.
- Refer to Frappe products when describing compatibility or integrations.
Permission is not required for these uses, provided they do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with Frappe.
6. Uses Requiring Permission
Written permission from Frappe is required before you:
- Use a Frappe trademark as part of a company, product, or service name.
- Register or use a domain name containing a Frappe trademark.
- Create or distribute merchandise using Frappe trademarks or logos.
- Organize events presented as official Frappe events.
- Publish certifications claiming to be official Frappe certifications.
- Use Frappe logos as part of your own branding or product identity.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Suggest that your business, product, or service is officially endorsed by Frappe when it is not.
- Modify, distort, recolor, recreate, or combine Frappe logos with your own branding.
- Use Frappe trademarks in a misleading or deceptive manner.
- Register company names, product names, domains, or social media accounts that are likely to confuse users into believing they are official Frappe properties.
- Use Frappe trademarks in a manner that damages the reputation of Frappe or its community.
8. Partners
Authorized Frappe Partners may use designated trademarks, partner badges, and marketing assets in accordance with their Partner Agreement and any published Brand Guidelines.
If there is any conflict between this policy and the Partner Agreement, the Partner Agreement will prevail.
