Common issues and getting help

Product Knowledge

As an Entry Partner, you are still building familiarity with the product and may encounter edge cases where you're unsure whether a feature is supported or how to implement it. Certification is a good starting point. But certifications are like getting a driving license, but far from real expertise.

While we provide limited hands-on support for implementations, you can refer to the following resources to help yourself:

  • Frappe Support Portal (support.frappe.io): Raise support tickets for product-related queries.
  • Community Forum (discuss.frappe.io): Learn from existing discussions and seek help from the global community.
  • Partner WhatsApp / Telegram Groups: Ask questions and get quick inputs from fellow partners and the Frappe team.
  • Co-deliver projects with an existing partner (frappe.io/partners/list): Collaborate with experienced partners to learn on real projects.
  • Documentation (docs.frappe.io): Refer official product documentation.
  • Community developers: For advanced technical requirements on Frappe Framework, reach out to experienced community developers such as Resilient Tech (info@resilient.tech) and Aerele Technologies (vignesh@aerele.in).
  • Reach out to Frappe: When needed, connect with someone from the Frappe team for guidance.

Hiring and Training

Hiring is a hard problem and there is no magic spell to get it right. Getting your first hire right is one of the most consequential events to kick start your Frappe business. Here are some resources that can help in hiring:

  • You can view a list of Frappe School Certified Participants here.
  • You can post job openings here.

Initial Lead Generation

As a new partner, your primary focus should be to reach the existing Frappe community and prospects. You won’t receive leads immediately due to limited visibility. Here are some tips to generate leads:

  • Introduce yourself as a Frappe partner on LinkedIn
  • Add a Frappe logo on your website
  • Add SEO keywords for your region (e.g., ERPNext partners in Kenya)
  • Add product demos on YouTube: They are a good way to get leads over the long term
  • Add success stories on your website and LinkedIn
  • Answer queries on discuss.frappe.io, which helps connect directly with prospects
  • Make a profile on Upwork or equivalent hiring websites in your region
  • Implement a contact form and CRM to manage your leads

These efforts ensure that the right prospects can find you easily.

How to Pitch and Convert

A 5-hour recorded Sales Training for ERPNext is the best resource to learn how to pitch and convert ERPNext customers. It is highly recommended that your sales team watch this course.

Remember, the first few conversions are a cost of learning and it is absolutely ok if you don’t make a very high profit on them. Your aim should be to break even and gain experience.
