Customers prefer authorised partners
There are hundreds (and possibly thousands) of freelancers who resell/implement Frappe products to end customers. Choosing the wrong partner can lead to losing money, but most importantly, losing time. With authorised partners, customers get the assurance about:
- Quality: Frappe’s partnership program is built on the tenet of Quality. Partner Maturity Model (PMM) is a process where Frappe audits our partners to ensure they have systems and processes that ensure consistent quality services. This is done to ensure that when customers do business with Frappe partners, they get a gold standard experience. These scores are made visible on the Partner Profile, measured using an objective 5-point score.
- Proficiency: Frappe partners have to complete a minimum number of product certifications. These certifications are listed on their profile too. Frappe’s product certifications are obtained after a rigorous course and evaluation. It makes sure that consultants on the ground are adept with the fundamental concepts as well as understanding of all the features.
- OEM support: Business software like ERPs are mission critical in the journey of customers. Working with authorised partners assures customers that the partner they’re working with has direct access and support from the OEM, which they indeed do. This way, customers can get access to OEM via partners, which is required to resolve unexpected product issues and tricky questions.
Tips before you start the partnership
- Get trained and certified: Invest in learning through official documentation, courses, and certifications. A strong foundation ensures a high success rate for your first new implementations. Getting 2 team members certified also helps you understand the deep capabilities of the product, and meet the minimum eligibility criteria to become a partner.
- Collaborate with partners in your region: Collaborate with experienced partners in your region. This helps you learn about their journey, challenges and growth within the Frappe partnership. Having an experienced partner works as a rock solid support for succeeding at first few implementations, and avoid common pitfalls.
- Implement for your own company: Use Frappe products within your own organisation to understand real-world use cases. You can start with FrappeHR, FrappeCRM or ERPNext. Some of the best partners in our ecosystem are customer-turned-partners. Implementing Frappe products before reselling them builds deeper insight, conviction and credibility when engaging with customers, and enables you to pitch Frappe with clarity and confidence.
- Create a few sites on Frappe Cloud: The eligibility and journey of your partnership revolves primarily around Frappe Cloud. The Partnership makes sense if you see merit in using Frappe Cloud to host your Frappe customers. Hence, partner prospects are expected to give Frappe Cloud a try, host a couple of sites - could be for your own company or customers you’ve implemented - before taking up a partnership.
- Complete 1-2 implementations: Unlike licensed business software, becoming a partner is not mandatory to resell/implement ERPNext. If you already have customers interested in the business, it is strongly suggested to get a few implementations completed before taking the partnership. This way you know what you’re getting into.
