Custom emoji are images your team adds to Raven. Everyone on the site can use them in messages and reactions, next to the standard emoji.
Anyone on Raven can add custom emoji. Manage them in Settings > Emojis.
Add an emoji
- Open Settings > Emojis.
- Click Upload.
- Drop an image in the box, or click it to choose a file.
- Check the Emoji Name. Raven fills it in from the file name.
- If you like, enter Keywords, separated by commas.
- Click Save.

| Image size | 128 × 128 px is recommended. |
| File size | Your site's upload limit applies. |
| Name | Up to 20 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. Each name can be used once. |
| Keywords | Optional. People can find the emoji in the picker by these words as well as by its name. |
The image is saved as a public file on your site.
Use an emoji
Custom emoji are in the emoji picker. In the message box, type : and the emoji name, such as :shipit. See Emoji and reactions.
Delete an emoji
- Open Settings > Emojis.
- Click the trash button on the emoji's row.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Deleting an emoji can't be undone. It is no longer available in reactions or messages.
On the mobile app
Custom emoji are in the emoji picker on the mobile app too. To add or delete them, use Raven on a computer.
