Manage users and access

Settings > Users lists everyone on Raven. Raven Admins and System Managers use it to set the workspaces and channels each person is in, and to turn accounts off and on.

Settings, on the Users list

Everyone can see and search the list. The ⋮ menu on a row is for admins: Manage access needs the Raven Admin or System Manager role, and Disable and Enable need System Manager.

The menu on a person's row

Manage a person's access

  1. Click ⋮ on the person's row, then Manage access.
  2. Check a workspace to add the person to it, or uncheck it to remove them.
  3. Click Select channels, or the channel count, next to a workspace to change their channels in it.
  4. Click Save.

The Manage access dialog

Removing someone from a workspace also removes them from its channels.

You can change only the workspaces you are an admin of. You can add the person to any channel you are a member of, but remove them only from channels you are an admin of.

Disable a person

Disabling turns off the person's whole account on the site, not just Raven. They are signed out everywhere and can't sign in until the account is enabled again. You can't disable yourself.

Click ⋮ on the person's row, then Disable, and confirm. Enable in the same menu turns the account back on and gives back the Raven User role.

Remove someone from Raven only

To take away Raven but keep the person's account on the site, remove the Raven User role from them in Desk. They then show as Disabled in the Users list. See Roles and permissions.

On the mobile app

Settings is on the computer only.
